The pre-contact era of the site and spiritual journey of the Algonquin with respect to the place is a key element of its value. The Kitigan Zibi have site-associated traditional spiritual rituals and have more recently created a global message of conciliation and cooperation that forms another living cultural vision of this remarkable site. The project will seek a partnership with the Algonquin First Nations to embrace their artistic expression, as an integral experience.
